Samsung has been launching two versions of its Galaxy Watch. Now, it looks like a Pro version of the Galaxy Watch 5 is in the works as well.
The South Korean tech behemoth is gearing up to release two versions of its much-awaited Galaxy Watch 5. These include the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Classic.
However, a report by SamMobile suggests that the series will include a third model dubbed Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Furthermore, the report suggests that the Pro version will carry model number SM-R925.
Also, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will reportedly draw its juices from a 572mAh battery. To recall, a 361mAh battery unit powers up the Galaxy Watch 4.
The Pro version’s robust battery hints at a larger size. However, past leaks claim that this year’s Watch 5 will be available in a 40mm and 44mm sizes.
In other words, only the Pro model is likely to have a bigger size. However, details about the exact size are scarce at the moment.
Aside from this, the Watch 5 Pro will reportedly boot Google’s Wear OS. This is a welcome change considering that some Watch 4 users had complained about the smartwatch’s battery life.
It will be interesting to see whether this will change with the purported Pro model. Notably, this is the first time details about the Pro model have surfaced online.
Meanwhile, Samsung is still mum on whether it is working on a Pro model for the Galaxy Watch 5.
