It looks like Samsung is prepping to launch a rugged phone dubbed the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro 2 under its XCover series. Now, the purported handset has appeared on the Geekbench benchmark database.
The Geekbench listing reveals that the phone’s model number is SM-G736B. Aside from that, the listing sheds some light on the upcoming rugged smartphone’s key specifications.

The Galaxy XCover Pro 2 smartphone with model number SM-G736B has visited the Geekbench 5 database website.
Moreover, the phone acquired 766 and 2722 points in the single-core and multi-core rounds of the Geekbench 5 test. Furthermore, the listing reveals that the phone will pack an octa-core processor codenamed “lahaina” under the hood.
Furthermore, the processor will have four cores clocking at 1.80GHz frequency. The rest of the four cores will clock at 2.40GHz frequency.
The codename and the cluster configuration of the processor, suggest that the upcoming Samsung rugged phone will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip.
Moreover, this processor is fabbed on TSMC’s 6nm fabrication process and has an integrated Adreno 642L GPU, as per a report by MySmartPrice. To recall, the Snapdragon 778G powers up Realme GT Master Edition, Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, Realme 9 Speed Edition, and other mid-range smartphones.
Aside from that, the Geekbench listing reveals that the phone will come with 6GB of RAM. Also, it confirms the presence of pre-loaded Android 12. Also, the South Korean tech company could place a layer of OneUI skin on top of Android.
