Elon Musk, who has a reputation for making biting remarks, is all set to host Saturday Night Live on May 8, but cast members aren’t excited about the SpaceX CEO’s invitation.
Known for setting Twitter on fire, the Tesla founder enjoyed his role as the Doge father, a form of digital currency created by IBM software engineer Billy Markus, which he supports in an SNL skit.
“Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live is,” he tweeted after it was announced he would be hosting SNL.

“Other companies spend money on advertising and manipulating public opinion. Tesla focuses on the product. I trust the people,” he wrote.
“We need to have a big permanently occupied base on the moon, and then we’ll build a city on Mars and become a spacefaring civilization. We don’t want to be one of those single planet species, we want to be a multi-planetary species,” he added.

This fends off criticism when two people died in a Tesla, however, it wasn’t proven that Autopilot was engaged. It took four hours and 32,000 gallons of water to quelch the car fire, The Truth About Cars reported.
On Apr. 17, Musk countered by sharing Tesla’s Q1 2021 accident data, which indicated that ‘In the 1st quarter, we registered one accident for every 4.19 million miles driven in which drivers had Autopilot engaged.

The National Transportation Safety Board hasn’t yet decided whether or not it will investigate. According to CNN, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration assigned a Special Crash Investigation team to find out more details about the accident.
