‘Attack on Titan’ Cosplayer Makes Waves With His Creative Take On Eren Yeager

Touted as one of the darkest and weirdest mainstream animes in recent times, Attack on Titan is an extremely popular smash-hit.

The story centers on human soldiers who are pitted against massive human-looking monsters called Titans who eat people. However, this dark theme didn’t stop people from being hooked on the game.

Attack on Titan is teeming with interesting characters, but it centers on the main protagonist, Eren Yeager. A former member of the Survey Corps, Eren started as a clear-thinking peasant who is bent on eliminating Titans.

As he grew into a competent member of the Scout Regiment, Eren found a special power of his own. This chain of events has made him a fan-favorite among Attack on Titan players and cosplayers alike.

Canadian cosplayer Noah Lance (a.k.a. Angry Jaeger) recently decided to step into Eren’s shoes – and although they are massive ones to fill, Lance did a great job. With over 8,000 likes on Instagram, the photos have gone viral.

Referencing one of Eren Yeager’s quotes from the hit anime television series, he captioned the picture: “I hate people when they’re not polite, If you end up on my table, then it serves you right.”

Noah’s outfit comprises everything from a replica necklace, brown straps, to a khaki-colored shirt. The best feature, however, is the dual swords. The second snap offers a more zoomed-out view of the boots, pants, and straps. Lance has put in a lot of attention to detail.

“And I’m hoping that you will see yourself like I see you,” he captioned the picture. While Attack on Titan has a reputation for being dark and grueling at times, it offers fans and cosplayers endless opportunities to shine, and Lance’s cosplay is a testament to that.

The fourth and concluding series starts on Dec. 7. Watch this space for the latest cosplays.
