Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Cover Screen To Show Animation, Other UI Elements

Samsung could be on the verge of bringing the most notable upgrades to the cover display of its Galaxy Z Flip series The highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip 5 has been floating around the rumor mill for quite some time now. The word on the street is that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 successor will sport a larger cover display.

Despite its folder-like shape, the new cover screen is expected to be useful in the folded form. The folks at SamMobile believe Samsung will be able to take full advantage of the 3.4-inch panel by developing high-end One UI elements for the cover display’s unique shape and size.

Now, the cover screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will come in handy for browsing the web, reading and writing messages, and using apps. These tasks can be performed more comfortably without unfolding the phone, which is a perk in itself. However, the Korean brand might have more tricks up its sleeve.

There is a possibility that every upcoming Galaxy flip phone will feature an external display that will be large enough to cover about 50 percent of the device. So, Samsung could be prepping to introduce some clever party tricks for the cover display.

Notably, Samsung could be working on some new animations for the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s folder-shaped cover screen. Every notification type will probably get a well-detailed animation, coupled with gorgeous UI elements.

Also, Samsung might offer options to disable these animations when the cover screen is turned off to save battery life. However, this is mere speculation and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Nevertheless, the smartphone giant will put the rumors to rest at the Unpacked event in July, The event will be hosted at COEX in Korea.
