Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has apologized via a tweet after deep fakes of her fans started popping up on the internet.
In January, Twitch streamer Atrioc accidentally admitted that he visited a website that comprised deep fake pictures of Pokimane, QTCinderella, and a slew of other female streamers.
After the Atrioc controversy, Twitch updated rules on deep fake content, making the act of showing the content punishable with a permanent ban from the Amazon-owned platform, according to a report by Dexerto.

“You shouldn’t have had to experience that in any way. please protect each other, especially the minors! Report those accounts and just know it says more about them, not you. Stay safe.”
Fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the situation with one user saying, “what the f**k. 🙁 that is so shitty.”
“The amount I’ve seen JUST TODAY is scary and all around gross, I can’t imagine how awful it must be for those members,” another fan replied.
A third fan wrote, “That’s legitimately disturbing and disgusting. I’m so sorry people have no respect or control.”
It is currently unclear whether Valkyrae is trying to help remove the content from the web. Watch this space for more updates.
