Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 2 to have an IP rating

Samsung’s hotly-anticipated 2021 foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip2 are slated to hit the store shelves soon, and if a new report is anything to go by, the upcoming handsets will have an official IP rating for water and dust resistance.

The much-awaited Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip2. Some previously surfaced reports suggest Samsung would skip the number 2 in a bid to match the Flip generation with the Galaxy Fold’s.

It remains to be seen what specific IP rating the upcoming phones will get, however, there will be one – provided this rumor that seems to come from people in the know, proves to be true.

The Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip2 may get official in July, according to SamMobile. They will be the only foldable devices the South Korean tech giant plans to launch this year.

Word on the street is that the Fold3 will have support for the S Pen, but it will not have a built-in place to tuck it. It will be similar to the Galaxy S21 Ultra in that respect, and not any of the Galaxy Note phones.
