The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S23 FE smartphone’s launch timeline and some key details have been tipped. Here’s everything we know.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE rumor mill has been in full swing lately. However, it is still unclear whether the Korean tech giant is planning to launch a Fan Edition version of the Galaxy S-series phone. Some reports suggest Samsung has canceled the Galaxy S23 FE, while others indicate the phone’s launch is around the corner.
While nothing is set in stone yet, a new leak from the Korean blog The Sisa Journal has shed some light on the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE launch timeline. According to the new leak, the Galaxy S23 FE will go official later this year. The report claims the phone will launch in Q4 2023.

Furthermore, the report claims Samsung wants to fill the gap between the Galaxy A54 and the S23 line with the Galaxy S23 FE. This gap is a result of the Korean brand’s decision to ditch the Galaxy A7x series. This is also a major sign that the Galaxy A74 5G isn’t likely to launch later this year.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Launch Timeline, Specs (Rumored)
Meanwhile, Samsung is still mum on its plan to launch the handset later this year. Amid the lack of an official confirmation, some of the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone’s key specifications have surfaced online. The Galaxy S23 FE could enter the mass production stage in Q3 2023.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S23 FE will reportedly pack a flagship-grade Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. This chipset is nearly three generations old. Moreover, Qualcomm could launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC by Q4 2023, when the Galaxy S23 FE is likely to make its debut.
To make things worse, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC has heating-related problems. So, it will be interesting to see whether Samsung ends up using this controversy-plagued chip for its Galaxy S23 FE smartphone. For optics, the device will reportedly get three rear cameras.
Regrettably, details about these cameras are still scarce. The report claims the Galaxy S23 FE will sport an OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung did not launch a Galaxy S series Fan Edition phone after the Galaxy S21 FE, which launched in January 2022/ However, it did not garner a lot of popularity among users.
