Last month, Oppo Vice President and President of Global Sales Alen Wu revealed that the Find X2 will pack Qualcomm’s recently unveiled Snapdragon 865 SoC. The device has been floating around the rumor mill for quite some time now, but Oppo recently confirmed its imminent launch by sending out an invite for its launch event.
The Chinese smartphone maker is gearing up to host the pre-MWC 2020 event, which is slated to take place in Barcelona. According to details mentioned on the aforesaid invite, Oppo will be unveiling the Find X2 phone during the event. The Find X2 successor is expected to feature a 2K display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, pack the Snapdragon 865 SoC, and support 65W Super VOOC fast charging.
In the photography department, the X2 will house a front-mounted 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor with Omni-directional autofocus. Aside from that, GSM Arena suggests that the handset could feature a secondary IMX708 sensor, ultrawide shooter and a 13MP telephoto camera that supports 5X hybrid zoom.
The launch event will kick off at 2 pm local time on February 22nd in the Auditori Forum CCIB in Barcelona. Oppo will be showing off its new phone at its booth which is located in Hall 3.
