Oppo Reno 8 Series Key Specs Revealed Before India Launch

The Oppo Reno 8 series specifications have surfaced online ahead of the India launch. The lineup will comprise two smartphones. Now, Oppo is prepping to launch the Reno 8 series in India on July 18. The company officially announced the launch date earlier this month. The series includes the Reno 8, and the Reno 8 Pro models. Notably, the Pro model will be a rebranded Reno 8 Pro+.

Now, the handsets have already gone official in China. So, Reno 8 series specifications aren’t a mystery. Further, Oppo has divulged key details. These include the chipset and liquid cooling. Both the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro will pack MediaTek Dimensity processors, as per a report by 91mobiles. The Reno 8 will get a Dimensity 1300 SoC. This is a notable upgrade over the MediaTek Dimesity 900 in its predecessor.

Oppo Reno 8 Series Specifications

Likewise, the Reno 8 Pro will pack the 5nm MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX. It will offer 25% more CPU power efficiency than the 6nm-class Dimensity chipsets. The Dimensity 8100 octa-core has four 2.85GHz ARM Cortex-A78 super cores and ARM Mali-G610 MC6. Also, it adopts MediaTek HyperEngine 5.0 gaming tech which brings a slew of optimizations.

First off, it has the AI-VRS graphics enhancement. Also, it has second-gen Wi-Fi/Bluetooth coexistence tech. The chip has Imagiq ISP. It clocks at 5Gpixel/s. This ensures superior photos and videos. It can capture three exposures per frame. Also, it enables dual camera recording at the same time. The 5th gen MediaTek APU 580 delivers power-efficient performance. So, AI-camera and AI multimedia do not consume a lot of power.

What Else To Expect?

The Reno 8 gets a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. It is a 6nm octa-core CPU. Also, it comes with a 3GHz ARM Cortex-A78 ultra core. The SoC has four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. It has three premium Cortex-A78 cores. Moreover, the processor adopts HyperEngine 5.0 gaming tech. It has AV1 video decoding hardware. Now, the Dimensity 8100 and 1300 have 5G connectivity support.

Moreover, they support MediaTek MiraVision. A 4,500mAh battery powers up the series. This cell supports an 80W SuperVOOC flash charge. The Pro model comes with an ultra-conductive cooling system. The Reno 8 gets a Super-Conductive VC Liquid Cooling System. More details about the Reno 8 series will surface at the launch event. The Reno 8 series India price was tipped earlier this month.
