Naruto-Running Anime Kid’s Backflip Goes Viral, Despite Bullying Attempt

A Naruto-running anime fan’s backflip video receives immense support from netizens despite the uploader’s attempt to bully the kid.

On August 9, a user named ‘Hitagi’ posted a video on Twitter with a caption that reads: “You weren’t bullied because you watched anime.

In the video, a ginger-haired kid was preparing for a backflip. He ran towards the wall and performed a backflip. The kid, along with another guy in Naruto or Dragon Ball Z-like attire, performs a Kamehameha – the signature move of Dragon Ball’s main protagonist, Goku.

The clip appears to be from a high school, although it isn’t clear. Also, it’s unclear whether the user was referring to anime-watchers in general or only the kid. However, it is clear that the bullying attempt backfired.

It turns out that people began to like the act. They began showering positive comments for the anime kid. One user wrote that it’s more impressive than something to pick on someone over. He added that he doesn’t know anyone who can backflip off a wall into a hero landing like that. Another user pointed out the landing by saying that most people couldn’t do that if they tried.

However, not all the comments were positive, some users found the Kamehameha part a bit cringy. Yet they found the backflip to be impressive. Ultimately, the attempt to bully the anime kid failed.

The clip that the Twitter user uploaded wasn’t new. It has been on YouTube since at least 2017. In just three days, it has garnered over 4.8 million views and a plethora of positive comments. After observing the reactions the user wrote “Lemme reiterate, after further inspection that flip was sicko mode.”

On the whole, the internet came together in support of the kid instead of joining in on the attempt at cyberbullying him over an old video.
