A Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 user revealed why he ended up framing the foldable smartphone after it broke down.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 user has divulged why he framed the foldable smartphone. Aside from the handset, the frame includes Samsung’s letter of refusal to fix the phone under warranty.
According to the latest post from Juhani Lehtimäki, he “will never buy another Samsung device.” The blogger decided to get his hands on the foldable smartphone after watching a video from tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee.
In his video, Brownlee reviewed the Galaxy Z Flip3 smartphone. Just three months after purchasing the steeply-priced handset, something very bad happened.
One day, Lehtimäki noticed that the middle of the screen on top of the hinge was turning black. Aside from that, the screen’s top half wasn’t responding to his touch as well.
The Problem With His Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3
The black part started growing until the screen completely failed. According to Lehtimäki, he did not drop the phone. Considering that the foldable panels were still new, he sent the phone for repairs.
However, the South Korean tech company responded saying, his Galaxy Z Flip3 “could not be repaired under warranty.”
“Based on the information you have provided, we have contacted our service partner to obtain more detailed information regarding the repair.”
“During the technical inspection of your device, the technician was able to determine that in addition to the display, the frame is also broken and that this damage is due to a mechanical impact, such as a fall, bending or excessive pressure.”
As if that weren’t enough, Samsung said fixing the display would set him back $340. So, Juhani decided to never shell out a single penny to purchase a Samsung product again.
Moreover, he framed the broken Galaxy Z Flip3 along with the rejection letter so that he would remember this forever.
