The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has made an appearance on Star Trek: Picard in the form of a prop. Read on to find out more!
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series has made its foray into the Star Trek universe. The second episode of Star Trek: Picard season 2 shows the character of Dr. Agnes Jurati using a device to tag something while attempting to restore communications between the series’ lead characters.

This scene gives us our very first glimpse of the Galaxy Z Fold series handset. The device appears to have a thick crease between the center of the inner display. This design element bears a striking resemblance to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold devices.
Later, Dr. Jurati boosts everyone’s signal and opens a transporter window. In this scene, we get a zoomed-in shot of the device’s crease.

Considering that the shooting of Star Trek: Picard season 2 started in early 2021, 9T05Google suggests that the device used in the series is the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Moreover, we can see the camera cutout of the front-mounted camera, which reveals that it is not the first generation Galaxy Fold device. To recall, the first generation Fold had a notched-camera cutout on the inner display.
