Valkyrae Extends Her YouTube Gaming Deal Until January 2024

The YouTube contract of Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter has been extended for another two years, the 100 Thieves co-owner has confirmed.

Much to the delight of her those who wanted Valkyrae to stay on YouTube, the streamer has revealed that she will be staying on the Google-owned platform until 2024.

Valkyrae made her foray into YouTube streaming back in 2020. Moreover, she streamed exclusively on the platform for the next two years. In the meantime, her fanbase continued to grow.

It was unclear whether Rae would quit YouTube after her 24-month deal. Moreover, rumors about her joining Twitch began making the rounds online since she appeared to be in a hurry to complete her agreed hours at the tail end of 2021.

These speculations intensified after she dropped a cryptic teaser last month. However, she confirmed that she won’t leave YouTube on January 31.

Valkyrae New YouTube Gaming Deal

Moreover, Valkyrae’s extension will see her stay on YouTube until January 2024. According to a report by Dexerto, Rae has signed a two-year extension.

The website suggests that her new contract is similar to her original 2020 sign-up, where she had to stream a specific amount of hours each calendar year on the platform’s Gaming category.

This year, Rae surpassed 3.6 million YouTube subscribers and continues to gain about 20,000 viewers on average with each of her streams.

Furthermore, Valkyrae had 30.6 million streaming hours watched across the 2021 calendar year, making her the world’s second-largest female streamer.

However, Rae’s decision to stay on YouTube is barely surprising, considering that she has been urging streamers to join YouTube after ditching Twitch back in 2020.

Following in her footsteps, TimTheTatman and Ludwig switched to YouTube towards the end of 2021. Likewise, big stars including DrLupo and CouRage stream exclusively on YouTube too.

“The streaming side has a lot of room to grow,” Hofstetter said of her YouTube future. “They’re working on it. I’m happy here. Seeing how hungry they are is exciting.”
