Rockstar developer hints at ‘GTA 6’ on Twitter

A Rockstar developed has sparked GTA 6 rumors after opening up about an unannounced game that he loved working on.

While GTA fans wait with bated breath for the GTA V on PS5 and Xbox Series X, a Rockstar dev has hinted at GTA 6 on social media. While nothing is set in stone yet, there is a lot of hype surrounding GTA 6.

Last year, a report from Kotaku suggested that the next installment is in “early development.” Rockstar Games Production Coordinator Eli Weeks recently revealed four projects that he has “loved working on” as part of a Twitter trend.

As part of the aforesaid trend, people share four games or other projects they’ve enjoyed working on. In his list, Weeks included World of WarcraftRed Dead Redemption 2God of War, and another title he couldn’t discuss since he is under NDA.

Responding to a fan, Weeks explained it was “a contract that prevents us from talking about the project” but noted how he couldn’t “give much more info than that!”

According to Weeks’ LinkedIn profile, Weeks has been an Associate Production Coordinator on the Open World Events design team since Dec. 2020.

Open world events are vital parts of games like GTA, which is why people are linking the unannounced game Grand Theft Auto 6. Loyal GTA fans on GTA 6 forums mocked “NDA” as being a game of its own.

“I wanna play NDA!” joked one Redditor.” “Rockstar is actually working on a whole new IP called NDA. Source: my daddy,” replied another.

Rockstar is unlikely to divulge any details until GTA V debuts on next-gen consoles, which is slated to release on Nov. 11, 2021. Watch this space for more details.
