The much-awaited Vivo V25 and the V25 Pro smartphones have been unveiled. They are the latest entrants in Vivo’s uber-cool V series. Vivo took the wraps off the two new mid-range smartphones today, August 17, during a launch event. Both devices boast an impressive array of photography features. So, the new V series smartphones are ideal for mobile photography enthusiasts.
The Vivo V25 and the V25 Pro smartphones created a buzz even before their official unveiling. The V-series smartphones were tipped to come with powerful cameras. Moreover, the most notable feature of the handset is its color-changing back. The V25 houses a 50MP front shooter for selfies. This selfie camera comes with AF. Likewise, the Pro model features a 64MP main sensor. It offers a myriad of flagship-tier specs.
Vivo V25, V25 Pro Launched – Specs
To recap, the V-series smartphones have been subject to a lot of leaks lately. For instance, the V25 Pro model’s key specifications surfaced online earlier this month. The vanilla V25 packs a Dimensity 900 SoC under the hood. Further, the device ships with 8GB and 12GB of RAM. Also, it offers 8GB of extended RAM. The phone offers 128GB and 256GB of internal storage. It sports a 6.44-inches AMOLED panel.
The side edge houses a fingerprint scanner and doubles up as the power key. Moreover, the Vivo V25 supports HDR 10+, 1080p resolution, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Vivo is targeting young people with the V25 series. The handset will appeal to youngsters who love vlogging and capturing photos. For optics, the phone features a 64MP main camera with OIS. Also, it has an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Lastly, the V25 has a 2MP macro camera.
The front-mounted 50MP shooter has ample AI algorithms for clearer selfies. This global variant runs Android 12 OS with Funtouch OS 12 on top. However, the device could get OriginOS outside the local market. The V25 uses a 4,500mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge to draw its juices. The phone also has Dual-mode 5G and Bluetooth 5.2. The rear panel comes in Diamond Black, Sunrise Gold, and Aquamarine Blue color options.
The V25 Pro, on the other hand, gets a powerful Dimensity 1300 chipset. Also, it features a larger 6.56-inches AMOLED display. The device’s fingerprint scanner is available underneath the panel. Further, the phone delivers a refresh rate of 120Hz and 1080p resolution. It houses a 50MP main sensor with OIS on the back. Moreover, there’s an 8MP super-wide-angle and a 2MP macro lens on the back. Upfront, the handset features a 32MP selfie camera.
Price & Availability
The Pro model boots Funtouch OS 12 and offers a myriad of connectivity options. The device has several fancy features including Vlog Movie and Super Night Video for better videos. On the downside, the Pro model is slightly heavier than the V25. It packs a 4,830mAh battery that supports 66W FlashCharge. The device is available in Black and Blue color options and has the Fluorite AG Glass on top. However, only the Blue color variant is capable of changing appearance under direct sunlight and UV light.
Both the Vivo V25 and V25 Pro will be available for purchase in over twenty markets across Southeast Asia, Latin America, South Asia, and more. The smartphones will hit the store shelves in the UAE, Mexico, and Pakistan. Also, they will be up for grabs in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and India. The availability and pricing of each model will depend on market conditions. The V25 Pro has gone on pre-order on the official Vivo India website.
The 8GB RAM+128GB storage model is available for an introductory price of INR 35,999. Likewise, the 12GB RAM+256GB storage model is available for a lowered price of just INR 39,999.
