Valkyrae Accuses Twitter Of Lying About Her Verification

Valkyrae claims she got verified on Twitter despite not paying for the platform’s controversial verified subscription, Twitter Blue.

On April 23, the popular YouTube Gaming streamer revealed that she received the verification badge without paying for it. Moreover, Rae accused the social media platform of “lying.”

“I didn’t pay for verification or verify my number, lol… Twitter is lying,” Rae wrote on Twitter.

xQc says he got a verification badge without paying for it like Valkyrae

Interestingly, xQc is also verified on Twitter now. The French-Canadian Twitch personality was reacting to TikToks on a live stream recently when some of his viewers notified him about the blue check mark beside his name.

However, xQc states he did not pay for it. “Boom! How?! How?! Chat, how did I get it? I didn’t pay for it!”

The 27-year-old content creator couldn’t pay for the subscription because his payment methods are Canadian, according to a SportsKeeda report. Apparently, he couldn’t process the transaction.

“Guys, I cannot pay for it. You want to know why? Because the only payment that I have are all Canadian. And iPhone does not process any Canadian stuff on U.S. stuff! I can’t even buy it! Even if I want to buy it, I can’t do it! (The streamer shows a screenshot of his verified profile) Boom!”

Valkyrae’s tweet went viral gaining over 29.7k likes and 455 comments in less than 12 hours. What do you think about Valkyrae and xQc’s experience with the Twitter Blue subscription? Let us know in the comments below. Also, watch this space for the latest updates on popular streamers.
