Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Launch Delayed, Tipster Claims

The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphones launch date has been delayed, according to a noted tipster.

The Korean smartphone giant is reportedly prepping to unveil the Galaxy S23 series early next year. The word on the street is that the Galaxy S22 series successors will break cover in the first week of February.

However, contrary to past leaks, a new report suggests the Galaxy S23 series launch will not take place in early February. This piece of vital information comes from whistleblower @TheGalox_ (via ITHome).

According to the tipster, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will launch in mid-to-late February. Regrettably, the exact launch timeline of smartphones is still a mystery.

Samsung is reportedly planning to delay the Galaxy S23 series launch timeline. Apparently, the tipster believes Samsung is struggling to determine the pricing of the upcoming flagship smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Launch Date & Expected Specs

The company might put these speculations to rest ahead of the Galaxy S-series smartphones launch event. In the meantime, the Galaxy S23 series trio continues to pop up on the internet in the form of leaked renders.

Moreover, these devices have been subject to all sorts of speculations lately. The Galaxy S23 series comprises the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Dummy units of all three phones recently surfaced online, revealing their outward appearances ahead of launch. The Galaxy S23 Ultra seems to adopt a boxy design.

The phone features a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a QHD+ resolution. The curved screen will deliver 2200 nits of brightness, which is brighter than the iPhone 14 Pro series models.

For optics, the Ultra flagship will get a quad-camera setup on the back featuring a 200MP main camera. Also, it will have 12MP ultrawide and two 10MP telephoto lenses.

The phone will reportedly use a lower-res 12MP front shooter. A 5000mAh battery could be powering up the entire system. This cell will probably support 15W wireless charging and 25W fast charging.

The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus come with three circular cutouts on the rear panel for the triple camera setup. They will adopt a flat frame design with a hole-punch cutout at the top.

The S23 lineup will reportedly pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. Lastly, the phones are likely to boot Android 13 with One UI 5.0 on top.
