Pixel Watch Could Soon Get Google Calendar & Gmail Apps

Google Pixel Watch smart wearables will soon get Google Calendar and Gmail apps, according to a new report by 9To5Google.

Google teamed up with the Korean smartphone giant, Samsung to revitalize Wear OS. As a result, the operating system got faster and more power efficient. Also, the apps have been improved.

While the Galaxy Watches come with the Calendar app, Google doesn’t ship the Pixel Watch with it. However, that’s likely to change soon.

According to the report, the search engine giant is working on Wear OS apps for Google Calendar and Gmail.

Google has reportedly started testing Gmail and Google Calendar apps for Wear OS on its first-ever smartwatch.

These apps will come in handy to those using Gmail and Gmail’s Calendar service. Regrettably, it is still unclear when the apps will make their debut.

Wear OS currently allows users to interact with Google Calendar and Gmail via notifications. Apple, on the other hand, offers full-fledged apps for Mail and Calendar.

Likewise, Microsoft offers a full experience for Wear OS users through the Outlook app. The arrival of Gmail and Google Calendar apps for Wear OS will enable Android smartphone users to enjoy a full-fledged smartwatch experience.

In the meantime, Google continues to launch multiple apps with new features for Wear OS smartwatches. However, it will be interesting to see whether Wear OS can outperform the Apple Watch series.
