A creative Overwatch player has shared an Apocalypse Junkrat skin concept, giving the explosives-obsessed freak an awesome makeover.
Much to the chagrin of avid Overwatch players, new content in the game is limited to seasonal events. Likewise, the new skins are available only until the sequel arrives.
A considerable number of players understandably focus on Overwatch’s cosmetics. A lot of official outfits gain praises from fans, but that hasn’t stopped some Overwatch players from creating their own designs.
Overwatch Player Creates Apocalypse Junkrat Skin Concept
The internet is teeming with all sorts of skin concepts such as a rich version of Roadhog, and Hellboy Lucio. Likewise, there’s no dearth of new outfit designs that keep popping up on the internet.
To recall, one Overwatch player recreated the Temple Of Anubis map in Unreal Engine 5 earlier this month. Another fan recently shared (via Dexerto) a stunning recreation of Mercy Caduceus blaster.
Now, Redditor CornyLope has come up with a unique Junkrat skin concept. Taking to the comments section, user Doinkert noted that the aforesaid design takes things in a different direction.
A Clever Idea For Junkrat Skin
Unlike Junkrat’s usual Mad Max-inspired outfit, CornyLope gave the hero an Apocalypse outfit. The new attire boasts some bug-like qualities.
Furthermore, the explosives expert has some antennae sticking out of his forehead. Meanwhile, the bug’s head is visible on his Rip-Tire. Aside from that, the bottom of his cloak is torn, making it look like a pair of wings.
Redditor 2point0777 jokingly called the skin, “JunkRoach.” In addition to bug-like qualities, the creative Overwatch fan gave the hero a new haircut.
Junkrat’s New Appearance
The new version of Junkrat doesn’t sport his trademark wild, singed hair. Instead, he seems to have some short spiky locks that are colored purple to match the overall aesthetic of the skin.
Moreover, the outfit has different shades of purple throughout. The hero has a yellow-pink-tinted metal arm. His prosthetic leg has the same color.
