CEO and Co-Founder of OnePlus, Pete Lau, teased the launch of the upcoming smartphone OnePlus 9RT on a Weibo post.
Several leakers have provided us with a lot of information on the OnePlus 9RT. As of now, information on the smartphone’s memory, battery, OS, camera, display, etc has been leaked.
However, the information that people were waiting for was the release date. Although the release date wasn’t announced, it was reported that the company will release the product in October.
The Chinese manufacturer hasn’t announced anything officially about the release date. However, the CEO and Co-Founder of OnePlus, Pete Lau, has revealed some information about the release date along with the name of the product.
OnePlus CEO Teases Launch Of OnePlus 9RT
Pete Lau published a post on the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo. He wrote a brief history on the OnePlus T series that started with the launch of the OnePlus 3T back in 2016 and has the OnePlus 8T as its latest model, as per NDTV.
Lau said that, unlike the previous models, the company will launch a phone in its T series with a new name. The CEO said that more details about the product will be provided on Friday i.e. October 8.
Unfortunately, the executive killed the hype surrounding the phone by revealing that the post was sharing using the OnePlus 9RT. Thus, it is confirmed that the name of the phone is OnePlus 9RT.
OnePlus 9RT Launch Date in China
OnePlus is set to host a launch event in its home country of China on October 13. A report from MySmartPrice suggests that the company has shared a teaser invite for the impending launch event.

The invite gives us a glimpse of the phone’s rear panel design. The rear panel seems to feature a rectangular-shaped camera cutout with three cameras. The text visible on the camera module suggests that the phone will have a 50MP primary camera. Moreover, the device is likely to house a 2MP depth sensor and a 16MP ultrawide camera at the back.
The phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, 65W fast charging setup with 4500mAh battery, full-HD+ display, 120Hz refresh rate, and ColorOS 12 system, as per previous leaks.
The device will be priced between CNY 2,000 and CNY 3,000. This amount roughly converts to about INR 23,250 and INR 34,800. The phone is also said to come in three different colors: Silver, Dark Matter, and Blue.
