Elon Musk Buys Google In Viral YouTube Video, Hoax Or Real?

A YouTube video suggesting that Elon Musk bought Google has gone viral, but it’s a mere hoax. Here’s everything you need to know.

After purchasing Twitter on October 27, 2022, Elon Musk became the sole owner of the social media platform. Since then, the 51-year-old business magnate has been making changes.

Among other major changes, Musk banned the Twitter account tracking his jet. Aside from this, he lifted a 5-year ban on Andrew Tate’s Twitter account.

Did Elon Musk Buy Google?

A viral YouTube video implies Musk bought the search engine giant. However, it turned out to be a hoax. So, it is safe to say that Musk did not buy Google.

Notably, the YouTube video convincing viewers Musk bought Google was posted on January 8, 2023. The video is titled, “Elon Musk: ‘I officially bought Google.”

The video features a voiceover by the owner of the ‘Elon Musk Zone’ YouTube channel. It gained more than 458,000 views in less than a day after it was uploaded, according to a report by Dexerto.

Taking to the comments section, Musk fans have shared their opinions. “Of course, he can take Google. Most people may not agree. The man had genius abilities,” one user said.

Another wrote, “This is awesome thank you Elon you are the greatest.”

The owner behind the video claims the channel is a “fan channel” made for “fictive entertainment.” However, this isn’t the first hoax surrounding Musk.

Last month, Musk’s Twitter account was reportedly been suspended.
