Valkyrae has shed some light on one of her past relationships before she rose to popularity, and it’s a little short of “unbelievable.”

Before reaching internet stardom, Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter worked at GameStop. The popular YouTube streamer has come a long way since those days but didn’t shy away from talking about it during a recent video.

Valkyrae Opens Up About Her Past Relationship

During a conversation with Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and Leslie ‘Fuslie’ Fu in a recent video, Rae admitted that she had a crush on one of her coworkers at GameStop. Moreover, she revealed that her manager “pressured” the two to date.

We ‘dated’ for two months,” she explained. She goes on to add that they “would just walk around and hang out. We were friends. Like, actually friends.”

Much to her chagrin, Rae noticed that her boyfriend wasn’t as affectionate as she’d thought he’d be during this two-month period. “He wouldn’t even hold my hand,” Valkyrae said.

The Unbelievable Plot Twist

“After two months, he finally kissed me,” she continued. “We had a conversation the next week and he was like, ‘Uh, I just want to let you know that I’ve been really confused and I’m pretty sure I’m not into women.’”

Rae went on to help him out and wished him well. “I was like, ‘Oh, you know what, I could definitely tell, and that’s okay!’” she recalled. “‘That’s great. That’s fantastic. I’m happy I could help you figure that out.’ I actually helped this guy discover himself.”

“Wow, Rae,” Nadeshot reacted. “That’s actually unbelievable. You’re helping out the cause. Love that!”

Furthermore, she revealed that her past crush has eventually found a boyfriend and is “really happy.” Rae even claimed that she’s currently single.
