Dr Disrespect has launched the first batch of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), giving 10,000 early access in the form of Founders Pass.
The Midnight Society studio’s video game project of Dr Disrespect has rolled out the first set of NFTs. As a result, 10,000 players can get early access through a unique Founders Pass.
Not too long ago, Dr Disrespect launched his own studio in collaboration with former Call of Duty and Halo developers. Now, the Doc is bent on setting his first video game in motion.
To recall, Dr Disrespect’s game company hinted at an impending Arena Takeover with Midnight Society for March 15. Now, the details have surfaced on the company’s website.
The new update gives us our first glimpse into the concept art, as well as the project’s NFT-based systems.
What Is Midnight Society Founders Pass
Founders Passes will be the first in the series of distinct Access Passes. Players seeking to check out the Two Time’s game as early as possible can avail of these passes, as per a report by Dexerto.
The first batch of 10,000 NFTs carries a price tag of $50 and offers a wide range of exclusive perks. As soon as players buy the Founders Pass, they receive a procedurally generated profile picture.
Based on which “armor, weapons, and backgrounds” you get, these randomized profiles can be “rare or super rare.” After locking in, the “one-of-a-kind” item facilitates trading across multiple cryptocurrency marketplaces.
“Once you own an Access Pass, it is yours to do with as you wish,” Midnight Society Co-Founder Robert Bowling explained.
In other words, the base price is likely to skyrocket with players trading their designs back and forth. Aside from that, each Founders Pass in the first batch comes with a slew of bonus perks that comprises unique rewards.
The bonus perks include early access with “game builds and weapons tests.” Moreover, it offers first dibs on minting new avatar features, and more.
The most notable benefit of the Founders Pass is that it gives owners voting rights across the game’s ongoing development.
“Industry Pass holders, also known as The Eyes, will form guilds that run all the in-universe manufacturing of weapons, mercenaries, and cosmetics,” according to the blog post.
Furthermore, Midnight Society claims it uses specific infrastructure that has “a sliver of the environmental impact as traditional NFTs.”
