The Twitterverse is urging Tesla CEO Elon Musk to deactivate all Tesla vehicles in Russia over the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
Some Twitter users have advised Elon Musk to deactivate all Tesla vehicles in Russia citing the country’s attack on Ukraine. Moreover, these users are urging the 50-year-old business magnate to turn off every single Tesla vehicle in Russia, as per a report by HT Auto.
Will Elon Musk Deactivate All Tesla Vehicles In Russia?
This call to deactivate Tesla cars in Russia comes in the wake of the global auto industry’s response to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
To recall, multiple automakers have already suspended business operations in Russia, and have halted their vehicle shipments to the country.
Aside from that, the US, UK, and European Union have imposed strict economic sanctions. Doing business with and in Russia is likely to impact Tesla globally.
Elon Musk Wants US Restrictions On His Tweets To End
In the meantime, Musk has asked a federal judge to end his 2018 agreement with the top US securities regulator. As part of this agreement, some of his tweets go undergo assessment by a lawyer.
Moreover, he asked the judge to end an SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) subpoena. Also, this subpoena requests him to provide records of pre-approval of a Twitter poll from November on trying to sell some of his stocks.
Much is made lately of unrealized gains being a means of tax avoidance, so I propose selling 10% of my Tesla stock.

“The SEC’s pursuit of Mr Musk has crossed the line into harassment, which is quintessential bad faith,” Musk’s lawyers wrote to US District Judge Alison Nathan in Manhattan on Tuesday.
However, some legal analysts, Musk’s attempt to end the consent decree isn’t likely to succeed.
