Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter will not be streaming for a while, but the reason she decided to take a break is still a mystery.
Valkyrae has been holding the coveted title of YouTube’s most-watched female streamer since 2020 after switching from Twitch, per Dexerto. She recently shared a series of cryptic tweets leaving her followers wondering what could be next for the 30-year-old YouTube streamer.
Major signs of her moving from YouTube seem to have surfaced online. While nothing is set in stone yet, It is widely speculated that a fascinating announcement is right around the corner.
Will Valkyrae Go Back To Twitch?
Valkyrae discussed plans to take a break from streaming in her January 14 stream. Moreover, the reason for the 100 Thieves co-owner doing so shed more light on the next step in her career.
“I’m gonna be gone for a while because…erm…the announcement video isn’t ready,” she revealed during her stream. However, she did not divulge details about the platform the announcement would be in relation to.
“I can’t really stream on said platform until the announcement video is posted,” she added. “I don’t know when it’s gonna be ready. I’m trying to get it out, the sooner the better, but it looks like it’s gonna take at least a couple of weeks.”
To mark two years streaming on YouTube, Valkyrae had previously teased an imminent announcement on Twitter. “Will do a short adios stream and talk about future plans,” she tweeted.

It would be shocking If Valkyrae moves from YouTube because she had deemed the platform as the “only real option” for streaming stars.not too long ago.
In the meantime, many of her fans are urging her to return to Twitch. To recall, she even revealed that her YouTube deal is on the verge of expiring soon. We’ll just have to wait and see if she reveals more details in the coming days.
