The Twitch channel of Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel had nearly 3 million botted followers that propelled the Twitch star from outside the top-ten most-followed, to inside the top-six most followed streamers.
Twitch streamers are no strangers to the channels hitting with fake followers and chat messages in a bid to get their names removed from Twitch. Smaller Twitch channels are usually subject to such bottled followers that place them among the biggest names on the popularity charts.
However, big names are not immune from such incidents. It can be recalled that Twitch streamer Adin Ross fell victim to them. Now, xQc has been hit with millions of fake followers. The former Overwatch pro was recently banned from the Amazon-owned platform for a few hours. The ban came after he streamed a video of highlights from the Olympics.

He has gone on a hiatus as far as streaming is concerned. However, he did not reveal the reason behind this brief break. Despite his absence, his channel has been skyrocketed into the top-six most-followed channels on the platform after three million fake followers being added.
According to TwitchMetrics, xQc was hit with the increase on Friday, July 30. While his channels views, for the most part, remain unaffected, his follower counts jumped up to around nine million. This is a clear sign of fake viewers.

By adding millions of fake followers to a channel, trolls try to get the channel flagged and eventually suspended. However, that didn’t happen to xQc. Twitch has, previously, deleted the account and reset the follower counts back to their previous.
