Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter gave fans sending her “sick” messages on Instagram an earful and threatened to block them.
Rae is beyond an iota of doubt, one of the most popular live streamers. She earned Content Creator of the Year at the Game Awards back in 2020, when she switched from Twitch to YouTube.
Aside from that, she has made an appearance in a music video with Machine Gun Kelly and teamed up with Gucci. As if that weren’t enough, she is the co-owner of gaming organization and lifestyle brand, 1000 Thieves.
However, online fame has its drawbacks. For Rae, it involves receiving wild DM from an impulsive viewer.
Valkyrae Criticizes “Sick” Fans Who Send Her Wild Instagram DMs
During her recent broadcast, the 30-year-old YouTuber opened up about these creepy Instagram DMs. She went on to tell her viewers that she would be hitting those who send her “sick” messages with a swift block.
“We need to have another talk,” she said. “Some of you are sick.”
“I decided to open up my DMs. The very first one I saw… it was from a person who was having full blown conversations with themselves about how much they’re in love with me.”
“How much they know they’re the best for me, how much they know me better than I do,” she added. “Sending me pictures, but it’s all blurred out, I didn’t open any of them. Just really weird. Weird!”
Valkyrae revealed that the fan had been sending her messages for “days” before stating that she had blocked the person. Moreover, she will be blocking any other accounts they will make in the future.

“I’m just letting you guys know that if I block you, or if anyone else blocks you for whatever reason on Instagram, you won’t be able to follow them on a new account, okay? So stop being icky!”
This warning comes after another similar incident. Last week, she thought someone broke into her house, before realizing that it was probably just a “raccoon” searching the garbage outside, as per Dexerto.
