iQOO unveiled the iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro smartphones in China earlier this month, and now, it could be planning to launch the iQOO 8 in India.
An iQOO phone carrying model number I2019 made an appearance on the IMEI database ahead of launch. Previously surfaced reports suggested that the iQOO I2019 could be an Indian iQOO 8 variant. Now, a noted tipster has indicated that the company could launch the iQOO 8 as early as September in India.

Indian leaker Debayan Roy took to his Twitter account on Aug. 21 to share details about the iQOO 8 India launch date. According to Roy, the iQOO 8 will be unveiled in Sept. in the country. He did not confirm whether the Chinese smartphone brand will unveil the Pro variant of the iQOO 8 in the same month.
iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro Specifications
The iQOO 8 sports an eye-catching 6.56-inch AMOLED flat screen with an FHD+ resolution. Its Pro sibling, on the other hand, features a slightly larger 6.78-inch AMOLED, LTPO display with QHD+ resolution, curved edges, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The former packs a Snapdragon 888 SoC, and the latter is powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus, per GizmoChina.
The iQOO 8 series comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and offers up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Both phones house a 16MP front shooter. The vanilla model features a 50MP main camera, 13MP telephoto, and a 13MP ultrawide camera at the back. The Pro model comes with a 50MP main camera with gaming stabilization, a 16MP telephoto camera, and a 48MP ultrawide camera.
The iQOO 8 comes with a 4,350mAh battery with 120W charging support. The iQOO 8 Pro, on the other hand, features a 4,500mAh battery with 120W charging support. Aside from that, it boasts 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support.
