Elon Musk said that US President Joe Biden’s administration bill aimed at boosting subsidies for electric vehicles should not be passed. 

The most sought-after business tycoon also said that it would lead to worsened US budget deficit.  Tesla has a reputation for offering superior electric vehicles. 

Elon is escalating criticism about the proposal made to provide union-made, electric vehicles an additional $4500 tax incentive, as reported by NDTV. 

Elon Musk Does Not Support Electric Vehicle Bill By Biden

SpaceX CEO virtually attended a Council Summit hosted by Wall Street Journal on 7th December. People were able to watch the live stream of the event on social media platforms. The next question was about the infrastructure plan and the bill. 

Musk said, “Honestly, it might be better if the bill doesn’t pass.” He further added, “I’m literally saying get rid of all subsidies,” he said, adding that the government should “get out of the way and not impede progress.”

The next-generation CEO didn’t find it tough to point out flaws of the US Government as he stated, “It does not make sense to take the job of capital allocation away from people who have demonstrated great skill…and give it to, you know, an entity that has demonstrated very poor skill in capital allocation, which is the government.”

Musk also noted that Tesla has sold electric cars in the United States for more than a year now. Moreover, he noted that the company has done it without the $7500 tax credit and without taking any demand hit.

Elon Musk was responding to whether the United States requires this infrastructure bill or any other kind of subsidies bill. To this question, Musk’s reaction was plain and simple – “Just Delete Them All”.

Recently, Elon Musk’s SpaceX began work on the orbital launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
