Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey, founder of Tesla and co-founder of Twitter, are the two most sought-after tech billionaires in the world. Their Twitters followers saw an occasion where the two techies were exchanging tweets about Web3.
Web3 is a relatively new and still a hypothetical idea. The idea behind Web3, as per CNBC, is to decentralize internet space. The proponents have a view that the current internet space is in control of a handful of internet giants namely Google, Twitter, Amazon, Apple, and Meta. These companies have a massive amount of data and content stored on the internet.
Elon Musk And Jack Dorsey Are Talking About Web3
Musk tweeted an interview of Bill Gates and David Letterman from 1995, he wrote “Given the almost unimaginable nature of the present, what will the future be?”

This may show like Elon Musk is supporting the futuristic Web3.
However, Tesla CEO followed it up with another comment where he said, “I’m not suggesting web3 is real — seems more like a marketing buzzword than reality right now — just wondering what the future will be like in 10, 20, or 30 years. 2051 sounds crazy futuristic!”

Furthermore, one day later Elon Musk again brought up the same topic by tweeting, “Has anyone seen web3? I can’t find it.” To this, former Twitter CEO responded, “It’s somewhere between a and z.”

Dorsey later tweeted saying, “You don’t own “web3.”The VCs and their LPs do. It will never escape their incentives. It’s ultimately a centralized entity with a different label. Know what you’re getting into…”
Their tweets and conversations brought in many supporters and numerous others who did had opposing thoughts.

Interestingly, Elon Musk recently tweeted a post where he said Tesla would accept Dogecoin for certain merch. Musk has been supportive of cryptocurrencies. On the other hand, it doesn’t seem he supports Web3.
