The upcoming Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro smartphones have been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website.
As per the Geekbench listing, the Black Shark 5 will pack Snapdragon 870 chip under the hood. Likewise, the Black Shark 5 Pro will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
Both the Black Shark 5 and Black Shark 5 Pro handsets are set to launch in China on Wednesday, March 30. In terms of performance, the Black Shark 5 Pro acquired 1,237 points and 3,750 points for the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
The phone carries the model number blackshark shark KTUS-A0. Now, the Black Shark 5 managed to float around the 3,000 and 1,000 points mark. This isn’t an impressive score considering that it is a gaming phone.
Nevertheless, the scores are likely to improve when the series goes official. Aside from that, a post from the official Black Shark Weibo account shows off the gaming phone’s shoulder buttons in a demo video.

The Magnetic Lifting Shoulder Button 2.0 (dedicated keys) provide improved control to users while playing games. Furthermore, they appear to have a U-shape which could offer a better grip.
The Black Shark 5 Pro will sport a 6.67-inch OLED with a high resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. Furthermore, the display will deliver a refresh rate of 144Hz. Under the hood, the phone will pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
Also, the phone will ship with 16GB of RAM. Moreover, the phone will come with a 4650mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.
The Black Shark 5 will also feature a 6.67-inch OLED screen that delivers 2400 × 1080 pixels resolution. The screen is capable of providing a refresh rate of 144Hz.
The phone will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. Aside from this, it will have 12GB of RAM and a 4650mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
