Alinity shares her thoughts on the controversial Twitch metas amid Amouranth and Indiefoxx bans

Alinity has shared her thoughts on Twitch meta following Amouranth and Indiefoxx ban due to their ASMR streams.

As the hot tub stream continued to garner popularity, it raised quite a few eyebrows. Some users wore swimsuits on stream without breaking Twitch’s guidelines. As expected, this triggered a controversy.

Citing the controversy surrounding the popular content, Twitch came up with an entirely separate category for hot tub streams.

“While we have guidelines about s-xually suggestive content, being found to be s-xy by others is not against our rules, and Twitch will not take enforcement action against women, or anyone on our service, for their perceived attractiveness,” the Amazon-owned platform explained at the time.

A recently popularized meta that involves people wearing leggings and using an ASMR microphone is taking the platform by storm. Most users do different actions for donations and subs, per Dexerto.

Indiefoxx and Amouranth, two of the biggest participants in the meta, were banned on June 18. Twitch began to take a stance on the controversial streams, just like it did with the hot tub trend.

During a stream with Mizkif and Mitch Jones, Alinity shared her own thoughts on the controversial meta.

Mitch asked Alinity, “I wanna understand why the meta keeps shifting from hot tubs, to now it’s like ASMR and yoga pants, like what is this?” looking to get some insight on the baffling new trend from the streamer.

“I think the meta is to try and push s-xual behavior as much as you can while pretending like it’s not being s-xual,” she said.

They said they would do an ASMR volleyball stream at the beach. Alinity joked that Mitch and Mizkif should commentate on the game from a separate table so they can put it in Just Chatting.

It is still unclear how Twitch will address the ASMR streams. However, streamers like Summit1g and Asmongold have given their own thoughts on the controversial meta.
