Valkyrae Urges Aspiring Gamers Not To Quit Their Jobs

Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter has a valuable tip for those looking to become full-time streamers. “Don’t quit your jobs.”

Valkyrae is urging aspiring gamers hoping to make it big in the live streaming industry to refrain from quitting their jobs. The Queen of YouTube states that the only surefire way to break in isn’t as short and sweet a process as they’d expect.

Many gamers aspire to make it big on Twitch. They usually draw inspiration to garner skyrocketing popularity on the Amazon-owned platform from watching Twitch stars like Asmongold, Nickmercs, Pokimane, xQc making it on Twitch.

Valkyrae Dashes The Hopes Of Aspiring Gamers

However, Valkyrae says that it is not a realistic dream to have. Rae, who recently renewed her exclusive YouTube broadcasting deal, compares achieving streaming stardom to walking on a “long, hard” road.

Aside from that, the 30-year-old internet personality points out that achieving streaming stardom is a pipedream for many, and it eventually fades out.

“I’m telling you right now, don’t quit your job,” Hofstetter said.

Although this doesn’t imply she doesn’t think anyone can break into the streaming industry. Nevertheless, she believes there are realistic ways to approach it, Dexerto reports.

“Get a real job first, okay?” she says.

“If you have the intentions of streaming because you want it to be your job, and you wanna make money from it…. Sorry, you cannot go into it with that expectation. It’s not gonna work, and you have to do this for years and years and years and years.”

“Use streaming as a hobby. And, you also need to create content that is going to be interesting. Probably something that you’re really passionate about too.”

Rae Explains How Gamers Can Grow Their Fanbase

Valkyrae admits that what gamers broadcast is as important as knowing people. Aside from that, she claims it is imperative for gamers to build their networks through other streamers, and grow their fanbase from there.

“Collaborate with people,” she advises.

“Don’t get stuck with playing one game forever either,” she added.

While playing Fortnite propelled her to popularity, Rae has also played League of Legends for a long time. Moreover, she recently jumped in on the Among Us bandwagon.

“Try different types of content,” the YouTuber said. “If something isn’t working, or if something gets more views than other things, maybe it’s time to capitalize.”

She urges fans to start streaming on YouTube first. “I feel valued on YouTube,” she explains.

“They make me feel important. On Twitch, that’s not really there. They have so many people on deals that you don’t get that feeling.”
