Razer is currently working on an RGB face mask dubbed, the Razer Zephyr, and it is slated to hit the store shelves in Q4 2021. On August 6, the Singaporean-American consumer electronics company announced that its N95 mask has a beta program set up before its official unveiling later this year.
The cutting-edge Project Hazel has been named Razer Zephyr. You can head straight to the company’s official website to sign up to be a beta tester. Regrettably, details about Zephyr’s release date are still scarce. Aside from that, it is still unclear when beta testers can expect to get their masks.

However, the video Razer shared alongside its announcement suggests that beta testers could receive a different mask design from what’s been shared up until now. The Razer Zephyr seems a bit wider and rounder than the company’s original Project Hazel. Moreover, the bottom of the mask houses a clearly visible grille unlike what previous images have shown.
According to The Verge, the grille might be there either for additional ventilation, or to amplify the voice. However, the company didn’t feature it in its earlier concepts for the face mask. More details about the mask’s design will be unveiled when beta testers get their hands on it.
Razer initially introduced it as a fun CES concept. However, the company later transformed into a real thing. It is still unclear whether the mask will be practical to wear, enjoyable, and affordable.
