Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has revealed why she stuck with Twitch and didn’t join YouTube amid an ongoing battle for streamer supremacy between the two platforms.

YouTube has been signing several popular internet personalities lately including Dr Lupo, TimTheTatman, and Ludwig As a result, a considerable number of streamers have joined the Google-owned site.

Pokimane Reveals Why She Picked Twitch Over YouTube

Pokimane is considered one of the biggest faces of the Amazon-owned platform. She revealed that the decision to choose between the two platforms was not based on how she was treated by them. Moreover, neither of the two was money offered.

During a Nov. 30 stream, Pokimane revealed that she had to pick between streaming on YouTube or Twitch. At the time, there was one big thing that Twitch had that YouTube did not.

“Two years ago, when I had to first choose between Twitch and YouTube, you know what I decided off of? Not which platform would give me more money,” Pokimane said.

“Not which platform was nicer to me. But which platform I would have more f**king fun on!” she revealed.

Anys pointed out that the iconic Twitch chat and culture proved to be a major deciding factor for her. However, she isn’t against streaming on YouTube and could decide to stream on YouTube after a couple of years if she decides to travel, per Dexerto.

Pokimane Is Likely To Stream on YouTube

Ending her point, Pokimane said if she decides to “solo dolo” travel the world in two years, and gain as many viewers as she wants, she will consider jumping ship.

“I’ll stream on f**king everything,” she said. “Or I’ll switch to YouTube because I want more of a mainstream audience. But what I wanted was to have a good a** time, and you guys are a good a** time,” she told her chat.

It is still unclear whether Pokimane will actually jump ship. It will also be interesting to see what the streaming sphere looks like then. Nevertheless, it is good to see she is enjoying her time on Twitch..
