Søren ‘Bjergsen’ Bjerg is gearing up to make a return to the mid lane in either LEC or LCS as sources claim that the iconic League of Legends player will be returning to professional play in 2022.
Former star mid laner and TSM’s head coach Bjergsen will be playing professionally again next year, according to a report from Upcomer’s Tyler Erzberger. By the end of 2020, Bjergsen had transitioned from player to head coach.
This transition came at a time when the team exited last year’s World Championship with securing even a single win. PowerOfEvil replaced him on the main roster, while he moved to his career’s next chapter. Sources have confirmed to Upcomer that he will be joining the starting lineup of an LCS or LEC team in 2022.
The 25-year-old superstar’s contract is slated to expire on Tuesday, Nov. 16. There is a possibility he might consider returning to TSM as their mid laner. However, sources claim that Bjergsen wants to give the free agency a shot for the first time in his career.

Before joining TSM in 2013, he had played over a year with Ninjas in Pyjamas, Copenhagen Wolves, and other big teams. He went on to spend about seven years in the LCS and went on to win six regional championships in NA. Moreover, he won at IEM Katowice in 2015.
Aside from that, TSM failed to win even a single international tournament and couldn’t get out of the group stage at Worlds four of the five times he has attended the competition. In his last professional game before retirement, Bjergsen lost to LGD Gaming. Watch this space for the latest eSports news.
